Methodology
In order to ensure a fully customized service to our client, the TENZING methodology consists of a 4 step-process which allows us to find the best target companies for our clients. Furthermore this process follows the logical sequence of a company transmission. In effect and in accordance with our client needs and expectations, we propose an incremental set of offering, be it either on the buy-side or the sell-side, depending who our client is. The following sequence describes our process:
- Discovery Phase: At this point, we look for a 360° understanding of the economics of our client: The rationale for the transaction, a first look at the financials, critical business processes, the competitive landscape, domestic and foreign market, etc.
- Evaluation Phase: We get into an in-depth company valuation, resulting in a peer group comparison with the aim to challenge our client against various pre-conceptions, thus optimizing the final result.
- Implementation Phase: TENZING partners® is always focusing on a customized research and would never perform mass mailing or blind research. To the contrary, we exploit our network to adjust our opportunity screening, to qualify our target and by going directly to the company we believe best fit for our client. To perform this step, we release a number of documents such as a teaser and/or an in-depth analysis (a compelling narrative and graphic description of your company’s achievements, strengths and future opportunities). This is kept in complete confidentiality until the next phase. We then introduce a qualified shortlist to our client.
- Operational Phase: We look for the candidate company offering the best synergies and the most adequate answer to our initial client concerns. Depending on the number of companies identified we organize an auction and help both parties to reach an agreement (always having our client’s best interests in mind), negotiate the deal and contribute to the post-deal integration.

Each of the phases described above is concluded with a clear and pre-agreed deliverable.
