Methodology

TENZING ensures a fully transparent and structured service to our client: we start with a diagnostic process that begins with the company history and which results into an effective, yet rationalized strategy.

During that phase, an internal assessment is performed to clarify and agree on short to long-term objectives, both, from a company and shareholders point of view. We collect company data as well as market data to clearly understand the positioning of our client. The client economics, various objectives, and financial capabilities are then combined and we elaborate a number of scenarios that would give the main rationale for the project.
Once a go-nogo decision is made on one or several scenarios, we execute the most relevant one in the following way:
  • Evaluation Phase: We get into an in-depth company valuation, resulting in a peer group comparison. We produce a teaser and/or an in-depth analysis and presentation.
  • Qualification Phase: TENZING partners® is always focusing on a customized research and would never perform mass mailing or blind research. To the contrary, we exploit our network to adjust our opportunity screening, to qualify our target and by going directly to the company we believe best fit for our client. This is kept in complete confidentiality until the next phase. We then introduce a qualified shortlist to our client.
  • Closing Phase: We look for the candidate company offering the best synergies and the most adequate answer to our initial client concerns. Depending on the number of companies identified we eventually organize an auction and help both parties to reach an agreement, negotiate the deal and contribute to the post-deal integration.

Our clients control the entire process during these various phases.
